BLACK STONE CHERRY Completes Work On New Album
January 19, 2011Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY have completed work on their third album for a 2011 release via Roadrunner Records. The band comments, "Y'all are gonna LOVE it! It's very exciting, raw, and very BLACK STONE CHERRY!"
BLACK STONE CHERRY recently teamed up with the Kentucky-based bourbon company Evan Williams for a special "Best Kept Secret" promotion, where the band offered a brand new track for free download: "Blame It On The Boom Boom".

"We love to rock, but we also love our Christmas tunes!" the Kentucky rockers told Noisecreep. "We figured, what better song to cover than one originally made famous by none other than the King, Elvis Presley! We jammed it once or twice and recorded it live on the spot. Of course we put our BLACK STONE CHERRY spin on it, and are happy it has been so well-received by our fans. Enjoy and happy holidays!"
"Folklore and Superstition", the sophomore album from BLACK STONE CHERRY, was reissued in the U.K. as a "special edition." The two-disc set includes the entire "Folklore" album on the first disc and rare and/or previously unreleased BLACK STONE CHERRY tracks on the second disc.
"Folklore and Superstition" sold 13,600 in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Black Bird Studios, which is owned and operated by country music star Martina McBride. It was produced and mixed by veteran Bob Marlette (OZZY OSBOURNE, SALIVA).
